I always had an ambition to write and the winter of 2013 felt the time was right.
Writing provides an opportunity for freedom of expression, a freedom so often denied in the modern era of central control, templates, tick boxes and the like. Organisations so often demand compliance and tend to overlook the creative talents of the people they purport to value as ‘their greatest asset.’
After more than 30 years working in criminal justice I have witnessed plenty of scope for creative writing. That and some time in the Army lends itself to a rich vein of material about humanity and its dark side.
I hope the books have a resonance with people who share some of the frustrations of modern life, find humanity fascinating in all its forms and find humour to be one way of dealing with it.
I have enjoyed the creative process; the ideas tend to flow quite readily. I have enjoyed creating the characters and the story lines, they are intended to be interesting, entertaining and readable and I hope you enjoy them!
