Feb 2019

Chris attended an event at the County Staff Club in Stafford last night called Fox Tales and Tipples which went well with Chris giving a short presentation on some of the more amusing elements of his experience of criminal justice. The event was hosted by Lin of Stafford Publishers and Sheila of Chapter’s Bookshop.
He has also made contact with Sam at The Words Worth independent bookshop  that has recently opened in Ecclesshall behind the Artizan Cafe. Sam hopes to offer a bespoke book service and to support local authors as well as organise events. I wish her luck!

Jan 2019 Latest Books

After taking a break from writing I’m very pleased to announce that I have completed the final draft of book 6 The Welsh Boys and sent it to the publisher. So that should be out later this year.
Continuing the story of Rory and Emma I have started Book 7 An Island Life as the third and final part of this trilogy. I anticipate that being my last book, so watch out for developments. It will probably be out next year!
Thank you for your continued support.

Recent Appearances

Chris continues to deliver talks to local groups, with recent appearances for example at Biddulph Men’s Group, Acton Trussell & Bednall Men’s Group, Blythe Bridge Community Library ( as featured in the photos ) and Tesco Retired Staff Group. He has also been nominated as a approved guest speaker for the  WI.

Book 6 Coming Soon

Book 6 has just gone to the publisher.

It’s called THE WELSH BOYS & is set in Staffordshire & North Wales & continues the story of Emma & Rory. I would anticipate release around Easter.

There will be a further book in this series making a trilogy called An Island Escape which I have just started working on.

Book Events

I will be hosting two events on Tuesday 21st Nov and Wed 22nd Nov in the back room at The Sun Inn in Stafford. Sheila King will be joining us who has recently opened a new independent bookshop in Stafford called Chapters. She offers a bespoke service to the discerning reader and promotes local authors including some children’s books which would be suitable for Christmas.
All my books will be available including the latest IDENTITY which was published in the summer. It features a local probation officer ( who else ?) trying to find some answers about his family history. The story takes place in the local area and has some gripping twists and turns integrating his home and work life. Heh, what could be better!
There will be some sandwiches on offer and some mince pies, do come and join us and bring your friends, if only for a chat.
