Having said book Nine will be my last one, well…..I’ve said that before……book Ten is on the way. It’s called ‘Seeking Justice’, a full novel this time, not short stories. I’ll keep you posted.

Unfortunately ill health has curtailed my activities over the last year or so, but hopefully I can now move forward. I’m still attending local craft fayres and events and do book talks to interested groups. Contact is still available via the website if you wish.
Thanks for your continued support and I hope you enjoy the books.

Chris has started writing a new book, another compilation of short stories.
The title is RESCUE, featuring the opening story of events taking place in The Lake District.
Publication will follow in due course.
As we start to emerge from lockdown, I am dusting off my presentation and making contact again with voluntary groups to arrange book talks for this summer and beyond.
It will be great to get back to engaging with groups again. I’ve also bid for a place at Uttoxeter Arts and Crafts market when that resumes.
I note that Amazon have raised the prices of my books on their website, which seems odd. All books available direct from me remain at the original prices quoted on each book.
I also mention that ‘Kevin goes to work’ is not one of mine!
Covid-19 presents a challenge to us all and we can all help to play our part in defeating this virus. Based in Stafford, in my street we have identified those working in essential services including the NHS and offered help and support where appropriate. We have set up a text group on whatsapp to exchange ideas and as an emergency helpline. Staff at the local County Hospital tell me that they have been well supported by the community with offers of food and donations. The Hospice too, like all in the charitable and voluntary sector desperately need our support.
A local fruit and vegetable shop in the town has created a collection and distribution point to provide food and essentials to families in need.
As a volunteer for Meningitis Research Foundation I have contacted those with broader shoulders to seek financial support to maintain the services offered to combat this more serious disease. As a writer I have also sent out short pieces to friends a followers reflecting on current circumstances.
It remains to be seen to what extent this warm and generous reaction and sense of community will remain once we are past this crisis. I am hopeful.
Stay Safe,
Chris Boult.
Completion of the Stafford street market yesterday marked the end of a concentrated pre Christmas effort to sell and promote the books, with attendance at a literary festival, 2 talks to local groups and 4 Christmas markets. During which I sold books across the whole range of the 7 published so far, made some useful contacts and met some wonderful people, including many old friends. A success I think !
